POPINS PRESENTS THE WORLD’S FIRST 3D LIVE SERIES
Live music meets the metaverse.
3D Live brings creators and viewers together to perform, talk, and connect in real time.
RAE ISLA kicks off the series on February 5th.
On Sunday at 5:30pm PT, Rae Isla will step into a Popins studio at The Crocodile in Seattle, WA. When she does, she will put one foot into the metaverse while keeping the other IRL as she becomes the first to perform in an entirely new entertainment mode that blends the lines between real and virtual. VIP guests will sip drinks and watch from a few feet away as she is instantly and simultaneously livestreamed as a fully interactive volumetric hologram into the homes of remote fans anywhere in the world.
Using just their phone, collectors of Rae’s NFTs will place Rae in their own rooms as AR where they can view her from every angle, make her big or small, and even take a picture to share. No app or download is required. Alternatively, collectors can watch and talk to Rae in their Quest 2 headset via the Forma Vision app.
Rae will perform live and talk with people both in the room and those attending virtually for an entertainment experience like no other.
“I love being able to experiment with new ways of being with fans all over the world. While the local scene is important, so is the global scene. You can have close relationships with people from all over the world so the more integrated we can make things, the better those relationships can become,” said Rae Isla.
Popins 3D Live ft. Rae Isla and powered by Forma Vision is the first in a new series of non-fiction episodic entertainment. 3D Live episodes will feature musicians, comedians, and other performers, giving fans the opportunity to have real conversations and build human connections with creators they may not otherwise meet or see up close up due to challenging travel, illness, or other conditions. These sessions stand apart from other artist-focused AR because the artist is filmed with volumetric video so they can be seen as they really are, without the need for animation or motion capture suits. With these truly live and interactive 3D experiences, Popins is putting the heartbeat into a digital world.
Augmented reality is recognized as the driving force bringing people into the metaverse, and one that will enhance our real-world experiences. The artist’s space magically merges with the personal space of the viewer, bringing them face-to-face in the metaverse.
“People are tired of Zoom, in fact I think we are traumatized by Zoom and Facetime, and we need to take it to that next level of reality where we can have an immersive way of interacting. People think the metaverse is a replacement of real life but it’s actually a reflection of real life, so the more we can treat it like art, the more comfortable people will feel supplementing IRL experiences with metaverse experiences,” adds Rae.

Rae Isla is an independent singer-songwriter and a pioneer in the web3 music space, having sold over 1,100 music NFTs and attended conferences around the world presenting her music. Classically trained in cello, then studying voice as well as business at Berklee College of Music, Rae launched her career as an indie musician in Brooklyn, NY, collaborating with producer Gianluca Buccelati (Lana Del Rey, Arlo Parks).
