3-in-1 NFT includes AR Performance and Exclusive Metaverse Meet-Up with SassyBlack
SassyBlack has been breaking the status quo and creating new art forms all her life, and on August 8th, she is doing it again with the Popins “Wild” NFT.
“I’ve been manifesting a hologram version of my art for many years” says SassyBlack, “I can’t wait for my fans and collectors to experience this in their own homes and spaces, and to see what they do with this new technology.”
Each of the twenty-two one-of-one music NFTs are a gateway to a larger media experience, which includes the NFT, an original AR (augmented reality) performance of Sassy’s original song “Wild” and an exclusive invitation for token-holders to meet up with SassyBlack in real time in the metaverse via Popins Live. SassyBlack will appear as a hologram via AR or VR in Quest 2 and other head mounted devices to perform and answer questions. The NFTs will be available from SassyBlack at Artiva.app.

“Wild” was captured using volumetric video technology at the Forma Vision studio in Seattle on March 22nd, 2022. SassyBlack was surrounded by fifty-one cameras to create a photorealistic hologram. Audio was captured by Grammy-nominated creative Phillip Peterson in one live take.
Each AR experience will display the name and profile pic of the collector via a proprietary technology offered from Popins, so that any time anyone captures and shares an image or video of Sassy’s “Wild” hologram they will be credited.
Popins Live is the newest offering from Popins and is being developed with the help of a grant from the ASCAP Lab and NYC Media Lab. SassyBlack (Catherine Harris-White) is a multifaceted creative force with a focus in the performing and literary arts. Hailing from Seattle, this Goddess of “psychedelic soul” & “hologram funk” explores sound through deep electronic compositions.
A graduate of Cornish College of the Arts, Catherine has fostered a thriving solo career, writing, composing, and producing all her music with over fifteen projects released since 2014.
